GiveBIG May 9th!

GiveBIG! Mark your calendars for Wed May 9th to help raise money for Grandview projects! What is GiveBIG Seattle?GiveBIG Seattle is a one-day online giving campaign to raise funds for non-profits serving Greater Seattle.

When is GiveBIG Seattle?GiveBIG 2018 is Wednesday, May 9 from midnight to midnight Pacific Time.

Early Giving Starts on Thursday, April 26

Donors will have the ability to schedule an online donation starting on April 26, but the donation will not be processed until May 9. Donors will receive a receipt confirming once the gift has successfully processed.

If your employer is on the drop down list,
donations are tripled!! Donations to DOGS will go toward fencing the east boundary with 6′ chainlink to replace the rotting wooden fence. This would include a double gate entry for dog safety!

DOGS will be hosting a Fall-themed Dog Photo time – $5 donation for some fun pictures of your pup and pumpkins!

City Park Dept Work Party

Parks Dept Workers from SeaTac, Auburn, Burien, Des Moines, Kent, Renton and Tukwila will be mowing fields, trimming blackberries, cutting brush and pressure washing the south entrance walkway and the picnic shelter.

Please plan your off-leash visit accordingly during this time. If you see them please take a moment to thank them for helping keep Grandview wonderful!

June 2017 – Projects and Mowing

A local Boy Scout troop will be building a new cement pad in the lower field!
This will be very nice for work party days and to stay out of mud in the rainy months.
Please plan your off-leash visit accordingly during this time. Please take a moment to thank them for volunteering!

Projects include:
-Repair fencing

-Fill holes in fields

-Garbage pick up in parking lot

-Poop pick up

-Weed trimming

We will be selling T-shirts and magnets, plus collecting $ donations and hosting a new member sign-up at the work party – please bring your friends and family!

Santa Photos!

Wow! So much love and support was shown to Grandview via a huge turnout for pictures with Santa. Our heartfelt thanks go out to each and every one of you for your support today. You are all truly amazing!

Your pictures will be emailed to you within the next couple weeks. Our wonderful volunteer photographer, Mark Shapiro, is working as quickly as he can to edit the pictures and get them sent out to you.

Thank you, thank you to everyone who came to support Grandview today, and to all of our incredible volunteers who gave their time and talents to this event. We couldn’t be more proud of our park patrons and volunteers coming together to help make it such a fun and successful day.
